11 Months!

Only a month until Jaxon is one year. It just seem unbelieveable! We don't have a big list of "new" things Jaxon is doing this month, but we are noticing he is much more "aware" of things. He knows the names of some of the toys/items you are telling him to pick up, he runs to Kinley's room when we tell him that we are going to get Kinley up. We just seem to notice that he know "notices" and responds to things more than ever. He loves being a "big boy" and trying to do things that Kinley is doing. He used to only tear down block towers and pull toys out of the toy bins, now he builds and puts things back in the bins (once again, we think he is just more aware that that is where things go).

Jaxon still thinks he is talking even though we can't understand him most of the time. Kinley thinks she can understand him and responds to him and we can get a nice laugh. This morning Kinley and Momma walked into Jax's room and Jax was babbling and mumbled, "elll ohhhhhhh" and Kinley smiled and said, "Hello Jaxon" - it was super cute for her to think he had told her hello!

He still eats TONS and Momma is getting scared about having to give up the bottles at a year, cause Jax is still super attached to the formula, but hey, we've got a month!

You all already know he has changed pacifiers, so we now have more than one, he is still a little fat boy and once he started walking there was no turning back to that crawling stuff! :) Wish we had a bigger list for 11 months, but now I guess our new updates will be about talking as he starts to say more words!

Just to note: Jax still only has 4 teeth, we are beginning to wonder if he has anymore up in those gums! 18th month clothes are best at this stage, sometimes a little long, but 12 months just don't fit around that chubby belly!

Loving our "baby" boy for one more month until we are loving our "big" 1 year old boy!

Last week Momma decided she ought to get a few recent pics of Jaxon's chub before he "thins" out from all his "running"! Everyone told us he would thin out when he started to crawl... well, he crawled 4 months ago and only got fatter. Then everyone assured us he would thin out when he really started walking... now he's been walking for over a month and he has just gotten fatter! Finally it is starting to seem like he has slowed down a bit on putting on the pounds, with all of his "running" we decided we should hurry and take some pics of these precious fat rolls before they disappear! - Ha!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are the pics just incase the rolls are gone tomorrow!

Wake Up Kinley!!!

Just wanted to note Jaxon's love for his big sis. He now understands who Kinley is and that she belongs with him. He can be having a grouchy morning and then after she wakes up his day is INSTANTLY better! We think this week he realized how much happier he is when she is awake because we have now caught him twice pounding on her bedroom door to wake her in the morning! When Momma opens the door he pushes his way thru and practically RUNS to try to climb in her bed with her. Tiny things like this are the BEST part of being a parent!

Happy Birthday Jake!

Saturday Jaxon went to Jake's 1st birthday party (along with all his other friends). The party had a western theme and the little cowboy ate his cake like a champ! Here are a couple pics from the party! Makes us realize how soon Jax's 1st birthday will be here. These best buds are only 6 weeks apart!

Jaxon,

We want you to know we were so proud the day you were born, the day you sat up, the day you crawled, the day you walked, etc... but TODAY you accomplished the MOST amazing thing we have ever witnessed.... TODAY, we came in your room to get you out of your crib and noticed you FINALLY had another paci in your mouth. For 10 1/2 months we have been trying to "break" you of your hospital paci and TODAY you FINALLY choose to try a new one on your own and we have used your "new paci" all throughout the day!
