6 Month Pic!

6 Months!

Jaxon had his 6 month checkup today. All is well with our BIG BOY!!! He weighed in today at 19 pounds flat (75%) and is now 27 inches (71%). We can no longer call our munchin long and lean, guess now we'll call him fatty! :)

The doctor was super impressed by his motor skills, especially for his size. He said it is usually harder for big babies to get around or hold themselves up. The doc had him sitting on the table when he decided to get down and head to the other end of the table. Of course Momma was proud at his perfectly planned time to show off!!! HEHEHEHE!

Jaxon's verbal is right on for a 6 month old (dada, baba, mama, etc...), nothing too impressive yet. We are excited for the day he actually associates the sounds he makes with people and things!

In other new news... Jaxon is 6 months old and we are FINALLY enforcing NO MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT BOTTLE (only in the last week). It was embarrassing to have to tell the doc that we just now are making him wait til morning at age 6 months when this should have happened at about 4, but so it is for this Momma who doesn't like to hear Jaxon cry!

Other things to remember... Jaxon eats 4 stage one baby foods per day and has cereal in his bottle throughout the day to help with spitting up. He LOVES Kinley, even when she is torturing him. He has a new defense, he has learned to pull her hair when she hassles him too much - oh the fights we are gonna have! :) He STILL has his "hospital" paci and we are STILL scared to death we are gonna loose it. He loves to play and he loves watching Baby Einstein, I'm sure we are going to have to monitor his tv time if he continues to love it soooo much! He still spits up puddles and we have decided to treat him with a reflex medicine once a day for the next couple months to see if it will help (this is where all Momma's friends can cheer because we are sure they are sick of him spitting up on their carpets!!!).

That's enough notes for now. Our little guy is amazing and as hard as it is to manage both Kinley and Jax while they are both so young, this is still the best time of our lives and can't imagine it any other way! Momma always says how she can't wait to be out of the "baby" stage, but must admit it is a little hard to know our "baby" is growing up so fast and is already 6 months old!

Big Boy Car Seat!

Today Jaxon rode in his "big seat" for the 1st time. He is getting so big he was hanging out of his infant seat so we sat his Britax rear facing so he could move to it right now. He looks much more comfortable sitting up like a big boy, rather than laying smashed into the infant seat! Not to mention how much easier it is to get him in and out of the seat!

Play Date - Welcome Baby Audrey!!!

Today we had playdate shower to welcome baby Audrey, it was great to honor this special girl and hang out with all of our friends!


The best pic of "all the kids" - just to note... #1 this in NOT all the kids and #2 only Jax and Ben decided to look in the direction of the camera and #3 NO ONE smiled - I think the kids thought play dates should be for playing not taking pictures.

Jaxon's New Bud!!!

Jaxon has another Best Buddy! Jacob Alarid (Tay Tay's little bro) was born two weeks ago today. We ae so excited for the Alarids! This was Jaxon and Jacob's first meeting! Not the best pics of the boys, but I'm sure we will take TONS more of them together as Jacob gets a little older!

Jaxon's New Moves...

Last night when we got home Jaxon had some new moves, he would pull his legs up under him and then throw himself forward and do a "faceplant" - Momma finally grabbed the camera so you all can see the new little trick - Looks a little painful to me, but he can't crawl yet so I guess he must think this is more effective than the "scoot"! :) We are super excited for him to learn to crawl, but I think it still might be a little while away - booohooo!
