Mommy, We Got Trouble...

We usually bathe the kids together, it is kinda a family event with both Momma and Daddy involved, somebody getting lotion and clothes, someone helping Kinley go to the bathroom or getting Jax's clothes off, someone bringing the soap or shampoo to the tub. Anyway... in the midst of the "process" last night Jax must not have thought Momma or Daddy were on top of their "jobs" because he took it upon himself to flip himself into the tub with Kinley wearing EVERYTHING - diaper, clothes, and shoes! Kinley's only response, "MOMMY, WE GOT TROUBLE!!!" As if Momma might not notice...

1 Year Check Up!

Jaxon had his one year check up today. Checked out perfectly in every way besides a little fluid in one ear and a little rasp in his chest (typical with the weather change and his allergies). Still a little (or big) chunk. He weighs 28 lbs 2 oz (97%) and is 30 3/4 inches (81%).

Doc thinks the tooth looks fine (the part you can see coming back in), he agrees with others that no dentist is needed at this point.

He is doing great with food - of course no one would expect any trouble there! Doc wants to keep him on infant formula until he is 15 months because of his skin and allergy troubles!

He always impresses EVERYONE with his motor skills (very advanced) and showed off a little at the doc by saying car and attempting thank you, but that doesn't count for much as those are two of the three words he says other than Momma and Dada. All that to say he is on track verbally, but not advanced for his age. Socially he is doing great - no stranger anxiety and loves to ham it up and entertain if he can every steal the stage from his big sis! :)

Momma still "lets" him have a bottle now and then and still carries his paci and has given it to him twice this week (bad Momma), but we are making a conscious effort to use both less and less (can anyone else tell I'm trying to convince myself here...)

Back to size 4 diapers (yea, his slimming and there are more per pack - hehehehe), size 18-24 month clothes and size 5 or 5.5 shoe (we had him measure last week and they suggested he should get a double-wide - sounds funny when we say it!).

Loving our 1 Year Old BOY more than we could ever say!!!

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!

Jaxon celebrated his birthday with both sets of grandparents in town and a huge party on Sat with MANY (we counted 55, but we may have missed a person or two) of his best friends! Jaxon wants to thank everyone who came to celebrate his special day! A HAPPY Birthday Boy, GREAT Friends and PERFECT Weather - the celebration was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for anything more!

Birthday With The Fam!

Since Jaxon's 1st Birthday fell on a Thurs and his party wasn't until Sat we decided to have a "Family Party" on Thursday night. Momma, Daddy, Jaxon and Kinley spent the evening eating chicken nuggets and fries at McDonald's and playing on the Play Place and then going to see the animals at the Klein Ag Fair. Jaxon had a blast hanging out with his parents and big sis before his BIG BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!

The Tooth!

The mystery is solved... Jaxon knocked his tooth "in" not out! Today his missing tooth started poking back thru his gums. Sad the little guy has to go thru teething again for the same tooth, but we think we were hoping for the tooth to be there and come on down on its own! Hopefully it will come in looking normal, healthy, etc... we'll give you all an update later on that, but for now THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED - Jax didn't loose a tooth at age 11.5 months, but rather, just hid it for a couple of weeks! :)

Tooth #5 and the Return of Tooth #4!

Today Jax's tooth came back down part way and it came in with the one right next to it, so this makes 3 top front teeth and 2 bottom front teeth!
